Restaurant interior design and 3D visualization for every part of the venue

Restaurant design is the concept, layout, materials and lighting of a restaurant, cafe or bar, decided before the fit-out. We design the venue or follow your designer’s plans, build it once in 3D and render every view the opening needs: the floor plan, the dining room, the bar, the storefront and the launch content.

  • Render of a cafe dining room with sculpted boucle chairs, black round tables and a curved banquette

    Restaurant concept and interior design

No design yet? Bring the empty unit, a budget and a few venues you like. We propose the restaurant concept, the interior design, materials and mood and show it in 3D, so you approve the look before anyone draws construction plans.
  • 3D floor plan of a restaurant from above: banquette seating, dining tables, a bar with stools, a private dining room, an open kitchen with a pass, restrooms and a street terrace

3D restaurant layout and floor plan

Restaurant layout design on your floor plan: the bar, dining room, seating plan, host stand and guest flow, shown as a 3D floor plan from above, then at eye level, so you see the covers and the circulation before the contractor prices it.
  • Render of a coffee shop with a curved white counter, a menu board, coffee bags on a lit shelf and a pastry case under an arched opening

Cafe, coffee shop and bakery design

Cafe design and coffee shop interior design: espresso bars, menu walls, pastry cases and seating that turn a small unit into a place people return to. Our cafe rendering case shows a full project from moodboard to approval.
  • Bar, lounge and nightclub design

Cocktail bars, wine bars, rooftop bars, lounges and nightclubs, plus hotel restaurants and lobby bars, with the back bar, lighting and seating your concept needs, shown at the hour the venue really works. Full resort projects sit on our hotel rendering page.
  • Render of a bright cafe dining room with an oval timber communal table, black chairs and a curved white mezzanine

    Dining rooms and seating plans

Main dining rooms, banquettes, communal tables and private dining, furnished to your seating plan and lit for service, so covers and atmosphere read at a glance.
  • Render of a two-storey retail plaza with glazed ground-floor storefronts for restaurants and shops along a tree-lined street

    Restaurant exterior, storefront and terrace

Restaurant exterior design: the facade, storefront, signage, patio and outdoor dining that sell the venue from the street and go into the landlord pack and the permit file.
  • Close-up render of a set round dining table with wine glasses and tufted upholstered chairs by a garden window

    Table settings, furniture and finishes

Tabletops, chairs, banquettes, lighting and finishes in close-up, so you approve the exact pieces before they are ordered and have images for the menu launch and the brand book.
  • Walkthrough animation and 360° tours

Short films that move from the door past the counter to the tables, plus 360° tours, for investor meetings, landlord pitches, hiring and the opening campaign.
  • Two phones showing a cafe’s social media feed made from the cafe renders

    Restaurant marketing visuals

Restaurant marketing content from the same model: social media posts, Instagram stories and Reels or TikTok videos, ad creatives, a coming-soon campaign and a promo video for the grand opening, ready before the doors open.

Any of these can be right. The set you need depends on who has to say yes.

Which views to order is a late decision. What comes first is the decision the images have to win: a lender’s yes, a landlord’s signature, a permit, a franchise partner or opening-night bookings. We start there, not with a render list, and come back with a plan for what to design and show, to whom and in what order.

Cover of the guide on sizing an architectural rendering order

Free guide: you order 12 images, publish 4 and pay $3,700 for the rest

Look at the logos above: none of those teams orders architectural rendering by the dozen. They start from where the building will be seen and let the image count follow. In our composite of a typical order, twelve views were bought, four were published and $3,700 went on images nobody used. The guide gives you the priced order, the place-by-place sizing list and the short brief to send instead.

Who orders restaurant design

Who orders restaurant design and visualization, and what each team needs from it

A restaurant group, a first-time owner, a hospitality designer and a landlord read the same restaurant design differently. We scope the design and the views to the person who has to decide, and one 3D model of the venue serves all of them, from the business plan to opening week.

  • Render of a cafe with a long communal table, guests at the window and a coffee counter in the background

Owners opening a first restaurant or cafe

Have a unit, a budget and a business plan to defend. We design the concept and layout and render the venue that makes the plan believable to a bank, a landlord and the first team.

  • Render of a cafe with leather lounge chairs by floor-to-ceiling windows, a coffee counter and a globe pendant

Restaurant groups, franchise and QSR brands

Need one concept in every location, from fine dining to fast casual. We design the prototype once and fit it to each new floor plan and storefront for landlords, franchise partners and launch campaigns.

  • Render of a hotel lobby lounge with a timber-clad column, an indoor olive tree and soft seating

    Hospitality interior designers and architects

Have the design and need the client to approve it. We follow your drawings, finishes and lighting to the line, so the render is the design, not a guess at it.

  • Render of a vacant ground-floor F&B unit with tall bronze-framed glass doors and potted olive trees

    Landlords, brokers and developers

Need an empty F&B unit to read as a busy venue. We design and render fitted-out options for vacant units and food halls, so tenants picture their brand there before they sign the lease.

  • Render of a large dining hall with round tables, upholstered chairs and a chandelier under a vaulted timber ceiling

    Food-hall and dining-hall operators

Need vendors and visitors for a hall that is still a construction site. We design and render shared seating, service points and circulation for leasing packs and opening campaigns.

  • Product render of a matte black espresso machine with a wooden portafilter handle on a black background

    Furniture, equipment and fit-out suppliers

Need to win the venue, not just quote it. We render complete restaurants with your chairs, tables, coffee machines and kitchen equipment for proposals and tenders, under your brand if you need.

Common restaurant design problems

Restaurant Design Challenges We Solve

  • 01 Happened to us

You have a unit, not a design

Most owners start with an empty shell, a budget and photos of venues they like, and every designer they call wants a finished brief first.

Our fixWe design the concept, the layout and the materials with you, then show the restaurant in 3D, so the brief is settled before anyone draws construction plans.

  • 02 Happened to us

The bank wants to see the business

A restaurant business plan with a floor area, a menu and a pro forma does not show a lender or an investor why guests will choose this venue.

Our fixWe render the decisive views for the business plan and the investor deck: storefront, dining room, bar and a signature corner that make the numbers believable.

  • 03 Happened to us

The free floor plan sells someone else’s catalogue

Furniture suppliers and floor plan apps offer a free restaurant layout, but it is drawn around their products or a template, not around your guests, your brand or your covers.

Our fixWe plan the layout around your concept and service, brand-neutral, and show it in 3D from above and at eye level.

  • 04 Happened to us

The landlord, the contractor and the permit office need the same picture

The landlord approves the fit-out, the contractor prices the build-out and the permit office asks how the space is used, and each reads a different drawing.

Our fixOne model gives all three the same storefront, interior and layout views, alongside the permit drawings your architect prepares.

  • 05 Happened to us

Marketing has to start before the doors open

Hiring, PR, delivery-app listings, social media and ads all need images weeks before the kitchen is installed.

Our fixWe render launch stills, social media formats and a promo video for the grand opening from the design model, so restaurant marketing runs in parallel with the build.

Restaurant design and visuals by opening stage

What a new restaurant needs from design and renders changes with each step to opening. Early work fixes the concept and the layout, then the images win the money, the lease and the permit, and finally the first guests, so we scope each set to the decision in front of you.

The 3D model built for the first stage is reused for the next, so each new set costs less than starting over.

What is restaurant design?

Restaurant design is the concept, layout, interior design, materials and lighting of a restaurant, cafe or bar, worked out before the fit-out. We design the venue or follow your designer’s plans and show it in photoreal 3D, so owners, lenders, landlords and guests see it before it is built.

Can you design my restaurant if I only have an empty space?

Yes. Send the floor plan or a few photos and measurements of the unit, your budget range and some venues you like. We propose the restaurant concept and the layout, show them in 3D, refine them with you and then render the final views for the business plan, the landlord and marketing.

Do I need a restaurant designer or an architect, or can you do the design?

For the concept, the interior design, the layout and the visuals, you can work with us directly: we act as the restaurant designer and show every decision in 3D. Construction and permit drawings, MEP and structure stay with a licensed architect and engineers; we work alongside them and hand over the model.

Do you plan the restaurant layout and floor plan?

Yes. We plan the seating, the bar, the host stand, service paths and guest flow on your floor plan and show the restaurant floor plan in 3D, from above and at eye level. Kitchen equipment layout and ventilation come from your foodservice consultant or kitchen supplier; we show the open kitchen and the pass in the visuals.

How is this different from a free restaurant floor plan from a furniture supplier or an app?

A supplier’s layout is a sales tool for its catalogue, and an app gives you a template. Ours is brand-neutral and built around your concept, your covers and your service, then shown photoreal from above and at eye level, so it works for your decision, your lender and your guests, not for a product list.

Do you design cafes, coffee shops and bakeries?

Yes. Cafe design, coffee shop interior design and bakery design follow the same process: espresso bar, menu wall, pastry cases, seating and storefront, planned on your unit and shown in 3D. Small units benefit the most, because every metre of counter and every seat is decided before the build-out starts.

Do you design bars, lounges and nightclubs?

Yes. We design and render cocktail bars, wine bars, rooftop bars, lounges and nightclubs: the bar and back bar, seating, lighting scenes and acoustic finishes, shown at night as guests will see them. The same model gives you views for the landlord, the licensing file and the launch campaign.

Can I use the renders in my restaurant business plan and investor deck?

Yes, that is one of the most common uses. A restaurant business plan or pitch deck with three or four decisive views, the storefront, the dining room, the bar and the floor plan, shows investors and an SBA or bank lender what they are funding. We size the images for slides and print.

Will the visuals work for the landlord, the contractor and the permit?

Yes. From the same model we render the storefront, the signage, every zone and a top-down layout view, so the landlord approves the fit-out, the contractor prices the build-out or renovation and the permit office sees how the space is used. Permit drawings themselves are prepared by your architect.

Can you create restaurant marketing content: social media, ads and a promo video?

Yes. From the same 3D model we produce restaurant marketing content for the launch: social media posts and stories, Reels and TikTok videos, ad creatives, a coming-soon campaign and a promo video for the grand opening. We make the visuals; your marketer or agency runs the campaigns and the ad budget.

Do you make restaurant walkthrough videos and 360° tours?

Yes. From the same 3D model we produce short walkthrough films that move from the street past the bar to the tables, and 360-degree virtual tours guests and partners can explore online. Because the venue is already modelled, film and tours build on the stills instead of starting over.

Can one design be reused for a franchise roll-out?

Yes, and that is where it saves the most. Brand elements, furniture, materials and lighting are designed and modelled once; for each new site we adapt them to the new floor plan, storefront and terrace, so every location looks like the same brand and each new set costs less than the first.

How long does restaurant design and visualization take?

A few renders from an existing design usually take one to two weeks. When we design the concept and layout first, add one to two weeks for the design rounds. A full pre-opening package with close-ups and a walkthrough film runs in parallel teams and is planned around your lender, lease or opening dates.

How much does restaurant design cost?

It depends on whether we design the concept or render an existing design, the size of the venue, the number of views and whether film is included. We quote each project after seeing the floor plan or photos of the unit, so send them over and you get a fixed quote for your exact scope within one business day.
