Beachfront Resort Hotel Design Concept From the Lobby to the Beach Bar

A resort hotel concept on a tropical beach: terraced hotel buildings above the sand, infinity pools, villas with rooftop pools, a putting course, tennis and basketball courts, a yoga pavilion, a spa, a gym, a double-height lobby, a restaurant and a beach bar. We designed the spaces and rendered 38 views of the resort, inside and out.

Project & Site Context

A Resort Hotel Designed Around the Beach

This is a studio design concept for a resort hotel on a white sand beach with turquoise water and palms. Terraced hotel buildings step down toward the sea, and every guest space looks at the water: the pools, the courts, the yoga pavilion, the gym, the lobby and the rooms.

Making Sixteen Spaces Feel Like One Resort

Bright beach light is hard to render well: white sand and pale stone burn out, water turns flat and the shade under palms goes black. Interiors with large glass walls have the same problem, because the sea outside is much brighter than the room.

Cover of the guide on the pre-opening image set for a hotel or venue

Free guide: sell rooms before opening with 9 images, not the usual 28

You have just seen a space rendered before it was built. A hotel, café or club that does not exist yet has to win investors, an operator and its first guests on images alone. The guide prices the pre-opening set at $9,650 for nine stills and one short film, shows which spaces to render for each audience, and gives you the one-page hotel rendering brief to send us.

Results

  • 38views

of one beachfront resort concept, from the aerial to the guest corridor

  • 16spaces

designed and rendered: pools, a villa, courts, a putting course, yoga, spa, gym, lobby, restaurant, beach bar, corridors and rooms

  • 2moods

day and evening views of the pools, the lobby and the beach bar

  • 1palette

of pale stone, light timber and linen across every space

A resort hotel is sold on many separate spaces, but it is booked as one place. Designing the amenities, the public spaces and the rooms in one palette and one light made 38 images read as a single resort, not a catalogue of pretty pictures.

What is a resort hotel design concept?
A resort hotel design concept is an early design of the whole hotel: the site layout, the main spaces, the amenities and the material palette, shown in renders. It lets owners, investors and operators judge the idea and the guest experience before detailed drawings are made.
Can you design a hotel concept, not only render it?
Yes. In this project we designed the spaces ourselves and rendered them. If you have no design yet, we can propose a concept for the resort, its amenities and its interiors. Construction drawings, engineering and permits stay with your architect, and we can work alongside them.
Which resort amenities can you visualize?
Any space guests use: pools and pool bars, beach bars and beach clubs, tennis, padel and basketball courts, putting greens, yoga pavilions, spas, gyms, restaurants and lobbies. This concept shows many of them in one style, so they read as one resort.
How many renders does a resort hotel need?
It depends on the next decision. Financing usually needs an aerial, the pool and one hero room; brand review adds the lobby, room types and restaurants; pre-opening sales add the amenities and evening views. This concept has 38 views covering the whole resort.
Can you show the same spaces by day and at night?
Yes. Here the pools are rendered by day and at sunset, and the beach bar by day and after dark. Once a space is built in 3D, a second light takes much less work than a new view, and evening images often sell a resort best.
Can these renders be used before the hotel is built?
Yes. That is the main use of a concept render set: investor and lender presentations, operator and brand reviews, pre-opening sales, booking pages and social media. The images show the hotel as it is designed to look, before construction starts.
