Townhouse Rendering, Design and Off-the-Plan Marketing for Developers
Townhouse rendering for every view a development needs, from the street to the floor plan
Townhouse rendering is photorealistic 3D imagery of a row of townhouses, terraced homes or townhomes before they are built. We render the streetscape, facades, site aerial, 3D floor plans, interiors and tours from one model of the development, so the lender, the council and off-the-plan buyers judge the same homes.

Streetscapes and street elevations
The whole row from the footpath and from across the street: the rhythm of facades, entries, garages, fences and trees, so buyers and the planning officer see how the townhouses sit among their neighbours.
Townhouse design and facade concepts
No facade design yet, or three options on the table? We propose brick, cladding, roof and colour concepts for the row and render them on the same model; your architect then takes the chosen one into the drawings.
Site aerials and rendered site plans
The development from above: every unit, driveways, visitor parking, landscaping and the street, for the feasibility report, the bank, the planning application and the lot map on your sales website.
Photo-matched views for planning and council
We place the new townhouses into a photo of the real street, matched to the camera, so the council, the design panel and the neighbours see the scheme in its context, not on an empty background.
3D townhouse floor plans
Every townhouse type over two or three levels as a furnished 3D floor plan, with the garage, the courtyard and the roof terrace, in one style with the renders. Formats are on our 3D floor plan rendering page.
Display home interiors
Open-plan living and kitchen, the main bedroom, the stair and the courtyard, rendered in your finish schemes, so buyers walk through the home before the display unit or sales suite is built.Flythrough films and 3D virtual tours
A flythrough from the street along the row and into one home, plus 360° tours of each townhouse type, for the sales website, the display suite screen and social ads.
Off-the-plan marketing visuals and site hoarding
Brochure and price-list imagery, the sales website, site hoarding and signboards, social media posts and ad creatives for the off-the-plan launch, all cut from the same 3D model.
Which views you need depends on who has to say yes next.
The bank wants the end product, the council wants the street, buyers want the home. We start with the decision the images have to win, then render what that audience needs to see, in the order your program needs it.

Townhouse Rendering, Design and Off-the-Plan Marketing for Developers
Most studios sell you renders. We work out what will actually move your project forward.
Ask a rendering studio what you need and you get a quote for renders. We start from the outcome you are paid for: a committee that signs off, enquiries on a scheme that does not exist yet, a buyer who stops comparing, an investor who commits.
Send one email and our 3D strategist replies with a commercial plan for the project: what to show, to whom, in what order, where it goes to work, and what it takes. The list of deliverables is the end of that plan, not the beginning.
Free, and yours to keep even if you never work with us.
Thank you – your request has been sent.
Our 3D strategist is reading the project now and will write back with the plan: what to show, to whom, and in what order.

Free guide: a show flat or a CGI launch set, priced $179,080 apart
The developers in the row above come to us before there is anything to photograph: drawings, a finishes schedule and a sales date. We priced one launch both ways. A show apartment, marketing suite and photography came to $196,740; a real estate rendering set from one 3D model, $17,660. The guide shows every line, the weeks each route takes and when a show flat still earns its place.

Townhouse Rendering Challenges We Solve
-
01 Happened to us
Off-the-plan buyers have nothing to visit
Townhouses sell off the plan months before the display home is built, and a site sign with an elevation does not convince a first-home buyer.
Our fixWe render the street, a home of each type and the interiors, so the sales agent, the website and the ads sell from launch day.
-
02 Happened to us
The council judges the street, not the elevation
Planning officers, design panels and neighbours ask how a denser row fits a street of detached houses, and flat elevations raise more objections than they answer.
Our fixWe render street views and photo-matched images from your survey, drawings and photos of the site, so the planning application shows the scheme in context.
-
03 Happened to us
The bank lends on a feasibility, not on a picture
Development finance and pre-sale targets are set from a site plan and a spreadsheet, and the lender has to imagine the end product.
Our fixWe render the site aerial, the street and one typical home early, so the credit paper and the investor deck show what the money buys.
-
04 Happened to us
Repeated units look the same in every image
A row of identical townhouses can read as flat and cheap in renders, which hurts both the design review and buyer interest.
Our fixWe vary light, landscape, cars and life along the row and show end units and corners as distinct homes, within your approved design.
-
05 Happened to us
Every consultant sends a different picture
The architect, the landscape designer, the builder and the sales agent each work from their own drawings, and the brochure ends up inconsistent.
Our fixOne 3D model brings the facades, the landscape, the interiors and the floor plans together, and every image comes from it.

Townhouse visuals by development stage
What a townhouse development needs from renders changes with each step from site to handover. Early views win the finance and the planning approval, later ones sell the homes off the plan, so we scope each set to the decision in front of you.
The 3D model built for the first stage is reused for the next, so each new set costs less than starting over.

What is townhouse rendering?
Townhouse rendering is photorealistic 3D imagery of a row of townhouses, terraced houses, townhomes or row homes before they are built. It covers streetscapes and facades, site aerials, display home interiors, 3D floor plans, flythrough films and tours, all made from one 3D model of the development.
Can you start before the drawings are final?
Yes. Many projects start from a concept site plan, house-type sketches and photos of the site, which is enough for a first street view for the feasibility and the bank. As the architect’s drawings develop we update the same model, so nothing is rendered twice from scratch.
Can we use the renderings for the planning application and the council?
Yes. We build street views and photo-matched images from your survey, drawings and photos of the site, so the council, the design panel and the neighbours see the real townhouses in their street, for a development application, a resource consent or a planning application. This matters most for infill and medium density schemes, where a row of townhouses replaces one or two detached houses. We do not prepare the planning drawings, the planner’s reports or verified views to a statutory method; we work alongside your architect and planner and give them the images.
Can we use the renderings for the bank, investors and the feasibility?
Yes, that is one of the most common uses. A site aerial, the street and one typical home show the lender and your investors the product they are funding. We deliver them in the sizes your feasibility report, credit paper and investor deck need.
How early should we start before off-the-plan or pre-construction sales?
Plan the core set two to three months before the off-the-plan or pre-construction launch: the street, a home of each type, the key interiors and the 3D floor plans. That leaves time for one review round and for the brochure, the website, the site hoarding and the ads to be built on the final images.
Can you design the facades and the display home interiors?
Yes. If the facade or interior design is still open, we propose facade, colour and finish schemes and the display home interiors ourselves, show them in 3D and refine them with you. If your architect or interior designer has the design, we follow their drawings and finish schedule to the line.
Do you make 3D floor plans of every townhouse type?
Yes. We make furnished 3D floor plans of every townhouse type and level, with the garage, the courtyard and the roof terrace, in the same style as the renders. See our 3D floor plan rendering service for formats.
Do you make flythrough films and 3D tours of townhouses?
Yes. From the same model we produce a flythrough from the street along the row and into a home, and 360° tours of each townhouse type for the sales website and the display suite. See our 360° panorama service for tour formats.
Can you create the off-the-plan marketing: brochure, website, hoarding, social media and ads?
Yes. From the same 3D model we produce the visuals for the launch: brochure and price-list imagery, website visuals, site hoarding and signboards, social media posts, Reels and stories, ad creatives in every size and a promo film. Your marketing team or sales agent runs the campaign, and we deliver in the formats they ask for. For developers who want the whole launch, from naming and brand to the website and the campaign, see our real estate developer marketing service.
Can renders replace photography of townhouses that are not built yet?
Yes. Until the homes are finished there is nothing to photograph, so renders do the job of real estate photography and video: listing images, the hero of the sales website, lifestyle shots and short films, and a 3D tour can stand in for a display townhouse or a sales suite that is not built yet. Once the display home is built, a photographer can add photos of it, and the renders keep covering the house types that are not built yet.
Our townhouses repeat the same design. Do we pay for every unit?
No. We model each house type once and place it along the row, so the cost depends on the number of house types and views, not on how many times a type repeats. End units, corners and mirrored plans are modelled as variants of the same type.
We are building a whole community or an apartment block. Is this the right service?
This page is for rows of townhouses and small developments of attached homes on one or a few streets. For a whole estate with a master plan, see our housing development rendering page; for apartment and condo buildings, see multifamily rendering; for factory-built townhomes, see modular home rendering; for a builder selling detached homes from a range of plans, see home builder rendering.
How long does a townhouse rendering project take?
It depends on the number of house types, views and interiors and on whether film is included. We agree the schedule with you at the start and plan the sets around your bank, planning and sales dates.
How much does townhouse rendering cost?
It depends on the number of house types and views, the interiors, whether a 3D model already exists and whether film is included. We quote each project after seeing the drawings, so send the plans and you get a fixed quote.
