Industrial Video Production Without a Film Crew: CGI and AI Films for Manufacturers

Industrial video production is film made for manufacturers, plant owners and equipment brands. We build it in CGI and AI from your CAD files, photos and site plans, so equipment demos, safety training, factory and launch films are made without a crew on the floor, a production stop or a finished plant.

Equipment demo film

Watch an equipment demo built from CAD, with nothing filmed

A two-minute 4K film of a precision dosing valve for a Norwegian equipment manufacturer, made for an industry conference and its website. The housing opens in a cutaway and the fluid is traced from a full stream down to single droplets, all built from the client’s CAD.

Industrial video production for equipment demos, training, plants and launches

Industrial video production covers the films a manufacturer needs to sell, train and recruit: equipment demos, process and safety videos, facility films and trade-show loops. A film crew records what already exists and can be reached safely. We build the same films in CGI and AI from engineering data, so they show machines inside, hazards nobody should stage and plants that are still drawings.

  • 3D animation still of a valve with a transparent housing and the piston inside

    Equipment demos and how-it-works films

Your machine, valve or pump running on any screen, with the housing cut away so a buyer sees the flow path, the moving parts and the result in seconds. Built from CAD, so sales engineers can stand behind every frame.
  • CGI still of a loaded logging truck with a crane driving along a muddy forest road

Machinery in operation, in its real setting

Heavy equipment, vehicles and attachments shown working in the forest, on the site or in the yard, without shipping a unit, booking a location or waiting for the weather.
  • Two blue robotic arms placing aluminium housings from a conveyor into a tray while an operator works at a control panel

    Production line and process videos

Robots, conveyors and process stages shown in sequence, step by step, for distributors, customers and new staff. The line never stops for a camera, and confidential stations can be simplified or left out.
  • Render of a warehouse under construction with a steel frame, partial metal cladding, a mobile crane and a boom lift

Factory films before the plant is built

Groundbreaking ceremony films, investor and permit videos and capacity presentations for a factory that is still a site plan. We build the plant from drawings and renders and show it working before construction starts.
  • Render of a high-bay warehouse interior with tall pallet racking, forklifts, skylights and dock doors at the far end

    Safety and OSHA training videos

Lockout procedures, forklift routes, guarding and near misses shown in CGI, including the unsafe moments that cannot be staged with real people. Your EHS team owns the procedure and the wording; we make every step visible.
  • Render of a chrome semi-truck with a branded green trailer parked on grass under trees

Trade show loops and booth screens

Silent loops sized for booth LED walls, kiosks and demo screens, cut from the same model as the sales film, so a machine too big to transport still stops people at the stand.
  • Street-level render of a logistics park entrance with a cyclist and mature trees

    Company, capability and recruitment films

A tour of your sites, capabilities and people for a website, a recruitment drive or a bid, mixing CGI of your facilities with AI-generated scenes where a shoot would take weeks of planning.
  • Firefighter in tan turnout gear with yellow and silver reflective trim walking out of a fire station bay past a red engine

Protective gear, workwear and uniforms kept exact

AI video for safety equipment, workwear and uniform brands, with reflective trim, logos, colours and fit held to your product photos or 3D model in every shot, and CGI for the parts that must be exact.

Not sure whether you need a film crew, CGI or AI for your industrial video?

The choice follows what the film has to show. Real people at a real site suit a crew; machines inside, hazards and plants that are not built suit CGI; people, settings and campaign variations suit AI. Tell us who will watch and where, and we come back with a shot list and the hours it takes.

Cover of the guide comparing a product launch shoot with CGI production for agencies

Free guide: one launch, shot or built in CGI, came out $18,880 apart

The agencies and brands in the row above rarely send us a shot list. They send CAD, a colour list and an air date, and we build the product once. We priced one launch both ways: shot with samples, crew and a reshoot, $28,600; built in CGI, $9,720. The guide shows every line, what a late colour change does to your margin and when a camera still wins.

Common industrial video problems

Industrial Video Production Challenges We Solve

  • 01 Happened to us

A shoot means stopping the line

A crew on the factory floor needs safety inductions, escorts and quiet machines, and every hour of filming is an hour of lost production.

Our fixWe build the film from CAD files, photos and drawings, so nobody visits the plant and nothing stops.

  • 02 Happened to us

    The hazard cannot be filmed

A safety video has to show the moment before an accident, and nobody should stage a forklift strike or an unguarded machine for a camera.

Our fixWe recreate the unsafe moment in CGI, step by step, as your EHS team describes it.

  • 03 Happened to us

AI redraws the gear and the logo

Generators change logos, reflective trim, colours and equipment details from shot to shot, so the ad shows a product you do not make.

Our fixWe anchor every shot to your product photos or a 3D model, check frames one by one and render exact parts in CGI.

  • 04 Happened to us

The plant does not exist yet

The groundbreaking, the investor meeting or the permit hearing comes before the building, and there is nothing to film.

Our fixWe build the facility from site plans and renders and show it running, with the same model reused as construction moves on.

  • 05 Happened to us

One film, many audiences and languages

Buyers, operators and recruits need different cuts, and every language version means another edit or another shoot.

Our fixOne model, separate cuts, and label-free versions ready for translation and subtitles.

How an industrial video is produced, step by step

Every industrial film goes through the same five steps. The script and storyboard are approved before production starts, because changing a frame on paper takes minutes and changing a rendered shot takes days.

For a Norwegian equipment manufacturer we built a two-minute 4K film of a precision dosing valve from its CAD, working in milestones from the animatic to preview renders to the final film.

What is industrial video production?

Industrial video production, also called manufacturing video production or industrial videography, is the making of films for manufacturers, plant owners and equipment brands: equipment demos, process and safety training videos, facility and capability films and trade-show loops. Traditionally it means a film crew at the plant; we produce the same films in CGI and AI from CAD files, photos and site plans.

What it is not: it is not stock footage of generic factories, and it is not a live-action shoot. If you need interviews with your real staff, a local crew films those and we can build the rest around them.

Can you make an industrial video without filming at our plant?

Yes, that is how we work. The machines, lines and buildings are built in 3D from your CAD files, drawings, photos or site plans, and people and settings are added with AI where they help. Nobody visits your site, nothing stops, and confidential areas can be simplified or left out.

Film crew, CGI or AI: which do we need?

It depends on what the film has to show:

  • Film crew: best for real people, real sites and interviews; needs site access, safety inductions and production time on the floor.
  • CGI: best for machines inside and in motion, hazards and plants that are not built; built from CAD and drawings, accurate to the part.
  • AI video: best for people, settings, seasons and campaign variations; fastest to vary, with CGI or product photos anchoring anything that must be exact.

Most of our industrial films combine CGI and AI, and some add short live footage your team already has.

Can you make safety and OSHA training videos?

Yes. We show procedures such as lockout, forklift routes, machine guarding and emergency exits in CGI, including the unsafe moments that cannot be staged with real people. Your EHS or training team owns the procedure, the wording and the compliance review; we make each step clear on screen and deliver cuts for your training platform.

Can AI video keep our protective gear, uniforms and logos accurate?

Yes, when it is directed, not just prompted. We anchor each shot to your approved product photos or a 3D model of the gear, keep one cast and one version of every item across scenes, check logos, reflective trim and colours frame by frame, and render anything that must be exact in CGI. Generic AI generators redraw these details from shot to shot, which is why safety and workwear brands need this control.

Do you work for agencies and inside our client’s AI account?

Yes. We work white-label for industrial marketing and video agencies, to your script, edit and brand guidelines, and we can produce inside the client’s own workspace in tools such as Runway, Google Veo or Kling when the client requires it.

Can you make a film for a factory that is not built yet?

Yes. From site plans, drawings and renders we build the facility and show it running, for a groundbreaking ceremony, an investor or bank presentation, a permit hearing or future tenants. If you already have architectural renders of the plant, the film can be made from them. For the buildings themselves, see our industrial building design and rendering page.

What do you need from us to start?

The goal and the audience, plus whatever you have: CAD or STEP files, drawings or site plans, product photos, existing footage, brand guidelines and, for training films, the written procedure. If you only have a physical product, our 3D product modeling team builds the model first.

How is industrial video different from industrial 3D animation?

Industrial 3D animation is one ingredient: a machine or part moving in CGI. Industrial video production is the whole film around it, with a script, scenes, people, voice-over, edit and versions for each audience. For product-only animation see 3D product animation; for renders and animation across a manufacturer’s range see 3D rendering for manufacturers.

How long does an industrial video take?

Timing depends on the runtime, the number of machines and scenes, the state of your CAD and how quickly your engineers and EHS team review. Most of the calendar goes into the script, the storyboard and model preparation, which you approve before production. Tell us the trade-show, groundbreaking or training date and we plan backwards from it.

What formats do you deliver?

A master film in 16:9, plus the versions the project needs: 9:16 and 1:1 cutdowns for LinkedIn and social, silent loops for booth screens, a label-free version for translation, subtitled language versions, training cuts for your learning platform and high-resolution stills for brochures and bids.

Can we test you before a long-term contract?

Yes. We start with a free styleframe of your own equipment in the look of the film, so you see the quality before you commit. Larger programmes, such as a series of training videos, usually begin with one short pilot film that sets the look, the process and the review rhythm.
